The Mini Lab was established in the year 1989 in the Rajashan Police Academy. The lab imparts training for the analysis of finger & foot prints for the trainees from the rank of constable to Dy.SP’s. Transparency and slides are prepared according the syllabi of different courses. The contents of the courses are displayed & communicated by an Over Head Projector & LCD projector. 

Trainees are made familiar with the procedure of lifting finger & foot prints successfully by conducting suitable training and organising police duty & sports meet. The trainees are trained to make best use of available aids, instruments, material & human resources. The procedure involved in choosing perfect spot for lifting prints from the scene of crime, preparing a right blend of water & pop, using the correct technique of putting the foot print frame, the method of pouring the solution into the mould, lifting the pop finger / foot print and finally marking, sealing & dispatching it for scientific investigation analysis are taught to the trainees at the academy. At present Mini Lab is headed by Shri Rakshendra Singh, a technical expert in his field. He is assisted by highly experienced & efficient staff. The lab is located to the left of the main entrance of the administrative block at RPA.
